What is a Slaptijack?

Slaptijack is the long-time handle of Scott Hebert. I’ve spent the last 10+ years hoarding network and system administration knowledge. Now, in an attempt to organize all the sticky notes and scraps of paper floating around my office, I’m steadily putting everything in one place. Not only does this site serve as my personal library of collected information, but it’s available to all admins — beginners and experts alike.

How’s it done?

Most of the site is maintained from my 12″ PowerBook G4. I’ve tried using fancy editors (ScribeFire, for example), but in the end I’ve settled on WordPress’ plain old built-in editor for managing content. I use Vim with syntax on to edit the site’s custom plugins. I’ve been told TextMate is the way to go, but I am both cheap and lazy.
