FreeBSD Security Update: libarchive

The FreeBSD Project announced one new security update this morning.

Errors handling corrupt tar files in libarchive(3)

This update addresses several vulnerabilities in libarchive for FreeBSD 5.3 and later. These vulnerabilities (CVE-2007-3641, CVE-2007-3644, CVE-2007-3645) exist in the code used to parse tar and pax interchange formats. The FreeBSD Project recommends upgrading to the latest release of FreeBSD or applying available patches.
