A special extended edition of Tech Messages for 2008-03-07 through 2008-03-08:
- clusteradmin.net :: a blog to help you in cluster administration
This is a new blog I’ve recently added to my feed reader. Clustering is something that really appeals to me, and I’m hoping I can learn a lot from this site. - System Administration Toolkit: Monitoring a slow system
This is a nice introduction for beginning system administrators. Veteran admins might find something new in here, so it’s worth a look for you, too. - Heroku
This product is still in beta, but it looks really interesting. Heroku offers an in-browser Rails development environment. Additionally, Heroku provides a hosting and deployment platform for Rails developers. It’s definitely worth keeping your eye on. - #234461: Solaris Daylight Saving Time (DST) Update (March 2008)
It is advised that updated patches are installed to resolve the time zone changes and issues. - Paul’s Macintosh IIci
Admittedly there’s not much to see here, but it’s worth giving a nod to someone that has taken the time to get something like this up and running — no matter how useless.
