For those still using the Cisco BWG as the ASN gateway in their WiMAX networks, Juda Barnes has discovered that the BWG 2.0 software suffers from a memory leak related to CEF. This memory leak is detailed in Cisco Bug CSCta09049. Unfortunately, since the Cisco BWG software has reached it's end of life, there will be no maintenance release forthcoming to address this issue. If you must live with the bug, the only workaround that does not involve disabling CEF is to disable optimized adjacency resolution:
no ip cef optimize neighbor resolution
no ipv6 cef optimize neighbor resolution
It may not be the best solution, but it definitely beats disabling CEF.
