In January of 2016, I joined Facebook and had to make the switch from git to hg. To be honest, I wasn't really some sort of zen master of git, but it didn't take me long to completely forget everything I knew about it.

Now that I've moved on to Pinterest, I'm once again back in the git-o-sphere. This time, I'm supporting the team that's responsible for, among other things, the company's source code management. Not only is git a part of my everyday work, but our team is an advocate for git best practices. It's a bit of a rude awakening for a guy that was deep into hg just a few months ago!

Since I'm making that transition, I decided it was time to move the repository that backs this site from hg to git (and more specifically github.com). Hopefully, I'll be able to update more often and talk about what I've learned along the way.
